The successful candidate will embed themselves into Castlebrae Community Campus, supporting young people from that community both within the school environment and in the local community.
37.5 hours
12 month contract
Salary: £27,000 – £28,500
Work Location: Primarily based within Castlebrae Community Campus, Niddrie; and Niddrie/Craigmillar
communities, Edinburgh; with occasional travel to our main office at The Cockenzie Hub, East Lothian.
Closing date: January 3rd 2025

Hours: 18 hours per week. Set times at Tynecastle Park include Mondays 10am – 12pm (fortnightly for team meetings), every Tuesday 10am – 12pm for co working and Fridays 12.30pm – 5.00pm Remaining hours to be worked around the needs of the service, flexibly across the week.
Fixed until 31st March 2026, with the possibility of continuation, subject to funding.
£26,000 – £29,000 pro-rata

7 hours per week – Term time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4.00pm – 7.30pm. 1/2 hour set up, 2 hours session time, 1hr clean up and evaluation at the end.
Fixed until 31st October 2027, subject to funding (currently part funded through National Lottery Young Start Fund).
£23,660 pro-rata

Detached Youth Workers – several posts funded until June 30th 2025
Part-Time. £12 – £15 per hour (dependent on experience), shift duration approx. 3-4 hours.
The Youth Action Project require to increase our bank of part time youth workers, to directly deliver our street work/detached youth work service for young people and the communities of West Lothian.
The Youth Workers will work in a variety of settings and will work alongside the Youth Action Project staff team and other partners.

LAYC is recruiting a Project Worker to support the delivery of accredited learning and youth awards, within the network of community-based youth and children’s Member Groups within Edinburgh and the Lothians.
The post will be based at LAYC and will have a Lothian-wide remit.
The post will be fixed for an initial period of 2 years at 18 hours per week on a salary scale of £28,046 – £32,010 pro-rata, plus access to a 7% employers contribution pension.
