Employability Support Worker – Deliver an effective casework and group work service to young people experiencing a range of challenges such as non-attendance at school, low attainment, lack of confidence, poor mental health and family poverty.

MYPAS – Counsellor (Young People) – Maternity Leave

MYPAS are recruiting a Young People’s Counsellor Maternity Leave Cover until 31st March 2027. The postholder will be responsible for providing counselling to young people aged 12-18 within a holistic service. The postholder will also develop and promote further therapeutic work both within and outwith MYPAS.

Hours: 23 hours per week

Salary: £35,869 – £37,922 pro-rata

They are looking for trustees who are energised by this ambition and ready to help lift Scran into its next phase. You will bring experience, perspective and strategic expertise, alongside a clear focus on the needs, potential and outcomes of the young people Scran support.

They are open to meeting prospective trustees with a broad range of experiences, but would be particularly interested in meeting people with experience in:

  • Youth work and CLD delivery
  • Charity law and governance, and financial oversight
  • Strategic City of Edinburgh Council engagement
  • Scaling a hospitality business
  • Marketing, PR and communications

This is a voluntary role.

Scran Academy – Youth Development Worker and Scransitions Youth Development Worker

Scran Academy are recruiting two Youth Development Workers.

Youth Development Worker:

This role is critical to changing young people’s lives by supporting the delivery of Scran Academy’s Academy Programme, our structured, year-long alternative education provision for young people disengaged from mainstream schooling.

Hours: 21 hours per week. 1 year FTC, with possibility of extension

Pay: £25,500 – £26,837 pro-rata

This role supports the delivery of Scran Academy’s Scransitions Employability Programme, a structured, multi-phase programme designed to support young people to progress towards work, education or training.

Hours: 18 hours per week. 1 year FTC, with possibility of extension

The Haddington Bridge Centre – Youth Worker (Motorcycle Project)

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of an existing team for a well-established youth Motorcycle Project and full training will be given. We work closely with local schools and youth agencies to provide group work and 1-1 programmes for young people. The Project uses off road motorcycles and group work activities to focus and engage young people. A passion for motorcycles and helping young people is a must for this role.

Hours: Full time 35 hrs per week

Salary: £30,476 – £32,556

TD1 Youth Hub is recruiting a Project Lead for TD1 Cashback Extra, a major three-year youth work project based in Galashiels and Langlee. Funded through CashBack for Communities, this project will support young people aged 11 to 18 through trusted relationships, targeted youth work, positive activities and community-based support.

Salary: £27,573 FTE, pro rata where applicable
Hours: 28 to 35 hours per week, negotiable
Contract: Fixed term for 3 years
